Here are some of the comments users have made for both Lite and Donate version of Mini Nurse. Since Android Market doesn’t allow developers to reply to them, I’ll be replying to the comments here on this page.

Definitions of prefixes from T’s on are off by one. Exp: defines “thryo” as “four”

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The new update to the application fixes this error.

Good app with good info. The “facts” section could have a more user-friendly interface. Maybe have a NEXT button, or just display them all on one page.

Thanks for the comment. We’ll try to make the interface more user-friendly. We’ll work on  having a list view (the way it is now) and add a different view where you can push a NEXT or PREVIOUS button as well.

It stalled during downloading. Then the database you have to download was corrupt so i ended up uninstalling.

The application will usually stall and give you a corrupt database if you’re receiving poor internet connection. Try using Wi-Fi or go to a place where your phone receives good signal.

Was good New nursing student. Used everyday on my Infuse 4G but now it doesn’t get pass the “Checking for Updates” screen. If I turn off my data it works

This issue has been brought up to me and should be fixed with 2.1.1.  Please update your application and let me know if you encounter any other issues.

Really good and free!

Mini Nurse – Lite will always be free! However, if you ever feel like getting a little more then feel free to upgrade! 🙂

Love it! Can’t wait to use mental status exam in clinical!

Glad you like Mini Nurse. Be sure that it’s okay with your instructor and facility that  you can use your phone/device while on the floor. From my own experience, not many instructors do!

Any nurse who gives this a positive rating should be struck off!

What made you feel this way about the application? Please e-mail me with the problems you ran into while using the application and I’ll see if I can fix those problems.

Is not worth even 1 star This application is so full of errors it’s unsafe. I urge you to uninstall this application and read a book!

What errors are you running into? I’d like you to please e-mail me with the problems you’re running into, so I can see if I can fix it. As said in the EULA, this application is not meant to substitute primary learning tools (nursing classes, textbooks, etc.). I encourage everyone to go to class and learn from the instructor and use the book to help understand the material.

Awesome appI am a nursing student and it is chock full of good review information. Good review for in between semester study 🙂

Glad you like the app! Good luck with your schooling!

Great mini review  Carrying around review books are no fun. Having an app like this is for sure helping me review for Nclex. Thx 4 the app 🙂

I’m glad you’re finding Mini Nurse useful. It’s true, carrying review books around is no fun. However, I recommend that you use those books to study for your NCLEX exam. If you do have the money, then I encourage you to buy the NCLEX Question databank from Kaplan. The Kaplan questions seemed to have help me on my boards!

Need internet always Most cell phones have poor reception in hospitals. This is useless

The application only needs internet when it first loads. This is to check for updates and inform the user of them. Internet is also needed for checking the RSS feeds and submitting game scores online.

Don’t waste your time or money on this app. Very few of the features can be accessed because of some error that forces app to close.r

I’m sorry that was your experience with the application. I’m not sure what was causing the force close — no issue was brought up via e-mail. However, a possible problem is that the database wasn’t downloaded properly. You would have to re-install the application if that was the case.

Really amazing application! No other like it! Must have! 🙂

I’m glad you feel that way about Mini Nurse! Hope you continue to like the application as I update the application.

July 26, 2011 – Tabitha – 5 stars

Needs to have the order of draw and tube color added to the lab portion that would be very helpful

I’ll try to find that information and add it to the database.

July 9, 2011 – Taty – 4 stars

It’s good but it would be a lot better if it had pronunciations!

I may possibly add the written pronunciations, but not verbal pronunciation.

Really basic, ok for students only

This app is meant for student nurses. Although it contains basic information, seasoned nurses may come across a term they haven’t seen or heard of in a while and will have to look it up.
